How often do you eat meat? Did you know that meat producers inject antibiotics in order to make sure the animal is healthy? Well did you also know that meat producers have been abusing this by injecting even more antibiotics into the animals to increase production and promote growth?
According to ChicacgoTribune.com, the Food and Drug Administration has asked meat producers to cease addition of these antibiotics to increase production or help promote growth.

According to CNN, “Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Congress would pass a health care bill this year, while his counterpart in the House — Speaker Nancy Pelosi — outlined a two-step plan intended to maintain public focus on the issue.” However, because of Republican Scott Brown’s victory in Massachusetts last week, hopes of getting a bill passed were quickly crushed. Democrats lost their 60-vote Senate supermajority, and since the election, Democrats have been struggling to think of a new plan.

President Barack Obama’s health plan was created to help the average American by substantially lowering costs for families and not requiring adults to purchase insurance, and in return, only wealthy people’s taxes would increase. “But a year later, the health care proposals in Congress lack many of those easy-to-sell benefits, which became victims of the lengthy process of trying to win over wavering lawmakers, appeasing powerful special-interest groups and addressing concerns about the heavily burdened Treasury,” reports MSNBC.

As the health-care reform progresses, the public’s dislike towards the pending bill continues to grow. And as a result of the public becoming more and more displeased, Obama’s popularity is on the decline. U.S. News reports that, “A poll released Tuesday by CBS News shows the decline to be continual, with 54 percent of the more than 1,200 adults surveyed saying they disapproved of the way in which Obama was handling healthcare.” And feelings towards Congress are worse as 57% say they aren’t happy with how the Democrats are dealing with the issue, and people aren’t too happy with how Republicans are handling the issue either as 61% reported they are dissatisfied.
