Coffee can reduce disease risk, including Parkinson’s disease and diabetes, while also dropping the risk of liver cirrhosis. Studies have found coffee can stop a headache, boost mood, and prevent cavities.

Post image for Company Pursues FDA’s Approval to Test Stem Cells

A rare cause of blindness, Stargardt’s macular dystrophy, has led Advanced Cell Technology to seek approval from the FDA to test human embryonic stem cells to treat the disease. Advanced Cell Technology is a biotechnology company in Massachusetts, and if their request is approved, they would be the second to receive the go-ahead to test stem cells in human patients.
