Most people who suffer from migraines are not able to predict the next time one of their painful headaches will strike. 1,500 migraine sufferers were asked to complete an initial 10-minute survey, and then asked to complete another survey after their next migraine. “Only about 4 percent of those who filled out the second survey were able to predict the exact date of their next migraine,” reports Reuters.

Yes. There will fears before any major surgery, laser eye surgery included. But most of the risks are extraordinarily rare in occurrence. For some patients just hearing that something may go wrong will make them run the opposite direction.

“The most common fears I hear about have to do with the result of the surgery — what happens if I lose the sight of an eye, or what happens if I don’t get the result I want?” says Wayne F. Bizer, DO, ophthalmologist at the Fort Lauderdale Eye Institute and professor and chairman of the Ophthalmology Department at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fla. “Some people can’t even deal with the concept of having surgery on their eyes at all,” he shares with everydayhealth.com.
