Maybe the US is losing patients to international medical tourism because our EHR and health IT adoption rate is far behind other industrialized nations.

A study was published in the Health Affairs journal which surveyed over 10k primary care physicians in 11 countries.

“The study found that 46% of U.S. physicians use electronic health records, up from 28% in 2006.”
