Health.com, has provided a summer guide to staying healthy all season and hopefully avoiding certain health dangers:

1. Gradually increase your exercise instead of pumping out 3 hours every weekend
2. Warm up before you run to avoid injury
3. Garden safely, use your legs when you squat not your back

According to the Food and Drug Administration, you should not drink raw milk. Raw milk hasn’t been pasteurized, “which means there could still be harmful bacteria like E. Coli that are still in it,” reports Nadia Crow from Fox28.com. Some people believe that raw milk is healthier than pasteurized store-bought milk; however, experts say it is just the opposite. In Michigan, 12 people got sick just this month from drinking raw milk that came from a dairy farm in Middlebury.

Post image for E. Coli Found in Soda Fountains

Be cautious when filling up your cup with a refreshing soft drink because researchers found several soda fountain machines in Virginia containing coliform bacteria. Almost half of the 90 drinks from the machines contained the bacteria that could possibly indicate fecal contamination. Several of the soda drinks from the machines fell short in passing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s drinking-water regulations, which states that all beverage samples test negative for E. coli.
