Post image for Processed Food Equals Poison! Avoid These Ingredients Specifically

Little did the processed food innovators in the 40s and 50s know that they were slowly digging graves, for Americans to come. Thankfully, some huge things are happening in this country to turn this situation around. Some people are still unaware of how poisonous processed foods truly are, for your body. If it isn’t something your grandmother would recognize on the label, then put it back. YES, that means frozen pizzas, frozen meals, mac n cheese, chicken nuggets, etc.

Yahoo.com has strongly recommended nine different, commonly used ingredients to steer clear of in processed foods (because we know you might eat processed occasionally):

1. Artificial coloring: made from coal/tar to enhance color- linked to allergic reactions, fatigue and skin rashes
2. Artificial flavor: cheap chemical mixture to mock natural flavors- linked to eczema, hyperactivity and asthma

Post image for Stay Away From Raw Milk

According to the Food and Drug Administration, you should not drink raw milk. Raw milk hasn’t been pasteurized, “which means there could still be harmful bacteria like E. Coli that are still in it,” reports Nadia Crow from Fox28.com. Some people believe that raw milk is healthier than pasteurized store-bought milk; however, experts say it is just the opposite. In Michigan, 12 people got sick just this month from drinking raw milk that came from a dairy farm in Middlebury.

Reports have pointed to particular kids who are interested in sugary treats more than normal – they might become an addict one day. Apparently, these same kids usually have a family member who has an alcohol problem or depression issues. What isn’t clear is whether or not the attraction to sweetness is because of a chemical difference or their upbringing. Researchers report that sweet taste-buds and alcohol ignite several of the same reward circuits in the brain.
