In the study, “Australian researchers tested people with asthma before and after a high-fat meal or after a low-fat meal, and found that the high-fat meal increased inflammation and reduced lung function,” reports HealthDay.com.

According to Reuters, a new study suggests that babies whose diets consist of only their mother’s milk for the first four months of their lives have a lowered risk of developing asthma later on. When mothers breastfeed, they transfer “good” bacteria, antibodies and proteins through the milk that can prevent infection.
