According to WebMD.com, there are several dangers that peek out their heads during summer months more than other months.
* STING. The sting of a jellyfish is no skip in the park. If you do get bitten try to find a lifeguard who can put a special medication on the sting, if you can’t find the lifeguard, use vinegar, soda, urine or salt water to help.
* STING. If you are stung by a stingray it was probably caused by accidentally stepping on a stingray. Seek immediate medical care, immerse in hot water to remove the stingers, scrub with soap and water and apply any pressure to stop bleeding.

Taken any Tylenol or Benadryl lately? You might want to think twice about using it again. On Friday, April 30, 2010, the FDA recalled certain ingredients used for making the liquid cold and allergy medicine for children, saying they had bacteria in them.
According to Health.com, over 40 products were recalled including: Motrin, Zyrtec, Tylenol, Tylenol Plus and Benadryl. A total of 1,500 products have been recalled internationally. The plant in Ft. Washington, PA was closed immediately and will not reopen without FDA go-ahead.

According to CNN, millions of Americans suffer from allergies, and unfortunately trees and plants are shedding pollen early this year making it hard for allergy sufferers to breathe, and also causing them to suffer from many other annoying and unpleasant symptoms. If you are a Knoxville, Tennessee resident, you, unfortunately, have it the worst according to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. * Utilize A/C or air purifier with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter
* Air out the house and keep as dry as possible.
* Vacuum and dust twice a week. If possible use a HEPA vacuum which will remove dust-mite particles and pollen (wear a mask)

Pregnant women are already under strict orders by the doctor to protect not only their health, but their growing baby’s. New research suggests that if pregnant women consume particular foods it might raise the baby’s risk of allergies or asthma later in their life.
According to Health.com, a study by American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology in New Orleans says the plus side is if women avoid eggs, nuts and milk during and after pregnancy it may help prevent the child from developing these unfortunate problems in their life.
