- Take a Look: look at yourself in a mirror, you should be able to draw an imaginary line from your ear to your hip bone to your knee and the center of your ankle
- Check Your Symptoms: if you don’t work on your posture you’ll start to have aches, pains and stiffness. Pain in your neck, back, headaches and fatigue.
- Start Improvement: avoid sitting or standing for long periods of time. If you work at a desk all day, get up and take breaks every so often. Set up your workstation properly, your computer screen should be eye level and your keyboard should be where your shoulders aren’t all cramped up. Work on your core, which will strengthen all your muscles around your spine to help with posture.
- Speak to a Professional: if you have already begun to have chronic pain due to poor posture, seek help from a chiropractor who can realign your back. They can also help you find a path to better posture.
