Looking for a diet that will work for you? Ever thought maybe you should eat like a caveman?
According to SeattleTimes.com, despite the world of discomfort that our Stone Age ancestors experienced, they might have been the healthiest eaters of all time. This concept is called the “Paleo Diet,” a health and weight loss trend that suggests people to eat modern-day versions of Paleolithic food.
This cavemen diet consists of animal meat, vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, roots and mushrooms. The Paleo diet does not include dairy, grains, beans, starches and of course no processed foods. This concept began in the 1980s but was popularized in 2002 when, “The Paleo Diet: Lose Weight and Get Healthy by Eating the Food You Were Designed to Eat” by Loren Cordain, a professor at Colorado State University.
“For the first time in my life, I started to feel quite healthy, I didn’t get any respiratory problems, my arthritis problems went away, and I felt like I gained more muscle mass,” said Rick Larson, co-owner of CrossFit West Sacramento, the gym running the challenge.
Could you follow this diet trend? The health benefits are extraordinary from clearing up acne, fixing digestive issues, helping respiratory problems, arthritis, healthy skin and healthy hair.
