Have you been swimming a lot this summer? Did you know that water is beneficial in more ways than one? Seize the summer by welcoming 15 different benefits water provides.

According to Health.com, water isn’t only important to keep yourself hydrated, but it can also be great for your skin and hair.

  • Switch to cool water vs. hot water. Cool water helps leave your hair extra glossy and smooth.
  • Ocean benefits. Sea-water has tons of nutrients in it that help to cleanse, repair and de-tangle your hair. Try Depth Refresh Daily Shampoo and Rusk Deepshine Sea Kelp Conditioner.
  • Soft water vs. hard water. Soft water helps leave your hair easier to manage by leaving out mineral salts.
  • Avoid damaging your hair by giving it a quick rinse before jumping in the pool or ocean where chlorine or salt can turn your healthy hair into a frizzy mess.
  • Want wavy or curly hair? Manipulate your hair while it is wet with a hand towel or separate your hair into sections and twist into small buns, secure with a bobby pin and blow dry, unravel for soft wavy hair.
  • Primer anyone? Sometimes using conditioner can keep your hair from styling, a way to avoid that is by using a water-based primer. Try Shu Uemura Art of Hair Depsea Moisture Foundation, it absorbs oil and rebalances the moisture level.
  • Tired of those dark circles under your eyes? Try Vichy Aqualia Antiox Anti-Fatigue Eye Stick which used water to help de-puff and brighten the eyes.
  • Firm it up! An easy, inexpensive way to tighten up your skin is to sit in a sauna or steam room, let your skin sweat for a good 15 minutes then take a plunge into a freezing cold bath which will shock the skin and tighten it.
  • Become wrinkle free. When your skin is hydrated wrinkles are less likely to be seen. Try Olay Total Effects Plus Cooling Hydration, which uses a moisturizer that helps attract water to the skin cells.
  • Be radiant! By drinking TONSĀ  (at least 8 glasses) of water everyday you can help hydrate your skin from the inside out.
  • Fix your complexion. No matter how difficult your skin might be, water can help add minerals and nutrients to make it healthier. Find mineral-rich H20 products at your local drugstore.
  • Tone it up! Most people workout in the gym or outside, but what about in the water? That’s right! Water is 12x more resistant than air, which means it takes more effort to move while in the water. Exercises you do in the water are more effective for sculpting your muscles.
  • Tired of cottage cheese legs? Get rid of dimples by losing weight and staying hydrated. Hydrate and slim down by eating water enriched fruits and veggies. Try oranges, watermelon or lettuce.
  • Become stress free. Water sounds can help reduce anxiety when life is getting a tad too stressful.
  • Trouble sleeping? Try soaking in a hot bath before you go to bed and find yourself falling into a deep sleep in no time.

Tired of your spider veins? Try laser therapy to have them removed close to home.
