Tacos, lime juice, margaritas, Coronas, chips and salsa, and sombreros are all key ingredients to a fun Cinco de Mayo. Some of these great eats may obtain many calories and can be unhealthy. But, with some healthy Cinco de Mayo recipes, you can enjoy some great low-cal Mexican foods and beverages.

Margaritas can be delicious, but can also contain many sugars and unhealthy ingredients. Some margaritas can contain up to 400 sugar-laden calories.  Try the “Pome-rita“, a low-cal margarita containing less than 200 calories. This margarita is also made with anti-oxidant-rich pomegranate juice.

Fish tacos are the perfect match to a “pome-rita” margarita on Cinco de Mayo. Try the fresh festive mahi-mahi fish tacos. These fish tacos are low calorie and offer plenty of vitamin C for a healthy and delicious Cinco de Mayo meal.

Who doesn’t want to enjoy some tacos and margaritas on a Mexican holiday? Check out more healthy recipes here. Happy Cinco de Mayo!
