The generations seem to be taking a turn for a more old-fashioned way of life as opposed to the mothers in 50s and 60s. Moms wish to stay at home instead of having a big career. But in order for a family to afford this they must take a look at their finances.

Luckily, according to MomLogic.com, money guru, Jean Chatzky, provided a worksheet which simply spells out whether or not a mother (or father) could afford to stay home and take care of the children.

“At the end, if you’re in the red, you know you need to do some adjusting if you want to make staying at home work,” she says.
