An article from MSN Health and Fitness talks about the safety of exercising in cold conditions. Gary Sforzo, a professor of sports sciences and exercise at Ithica College states, “The body produces a lot of heat during exercise and when it produces heat, it pretty much diminishes any chance of hypothermia.”

Even though it is cold outside, it is safe to go for an outdoor exercise. Hiking, running, jogging, biking, and walking are all exercises that can be performed in cold weather. Sforzo says, “If you go outdoors for a walk or run, just move continuously.”

Worried about catching a cold while exercising outdoors during winter?. Well, forget about it – layer up and keep moving when your outdoors. Do not let the weather hold you back from doing something you want to do.
