Every so often people start feeling bloated and clogged up. Oftentimes, people resort to a detox to get rid of that stuffy feeling. A detox is meant to help people get a jump start to a healthier lifestyle, if followed properly. It is possible to be too strict on yourself and end up causing more negative than positive.

The Chicago Tribune has provided eight ways to follow a healthier detox:

  • Avoid a liquid only detox
  • Stick to natural, whole foods
  • Load up on H2O
  • Every 3-5 hours eat something
  • Exercise
  • After five days make a progression towards a permanent approach
  • Consume at least 1,000 calories per day
  • Steer clear of laxative and detox supplements

This is very helpful since many people are doing detox these days. I know thst I have done a detox before and this information is very helpful and not many people know how to properly detox!
