Everyone seems to be focusing on eating healthier these days, but little did they know that some of the things thought to be low in fat actually hide a lot of calories. A salad can be a great option for lunch, but it depends on what is put on it; same with yogurt.

Health.com has provided three key ways to lighten your lunch everyday:

  • Cobb Salad with ranch dressing (850 calories!)

Quick Fix: cut 350 calories by nixing the bacon, cheese and using half as much dressing. Request more veggies and/or fruit for the salad. Total Calories: 475

  • Yogurt Parfait 635 calories

Quick Fix: Use Greek yogurt instead, agave nectar vs. honey, fresh fruit and top with almonds vs. granola. You could even add hummus with a few pita chips and/or veggies. Total calories: 464

  • Tuna in a Spinach Wrap with Provolone 709 calories

Quick Fix: make a homemade sandwich using whole-grain bread or tortilla, skip mayo, use olive oil and mix up your tuna salad with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Add capers, remove cheese, add spinach leaves, cucumbers and/or shredded carrots. Total calories: 298

Hope these quick fix calorie lunches help your diet! Need a nutritionist to help you with your diet? Find one near your home.
