Help keep the blues at bay by making your bedroom a retreat.
The Seattle Times has provided six different ways to help transform your bedroom into a home away from home… but it really is at home!
- Try adding a bench at the end of your bed, a bright-colored chair or create a bay window with pillows.
- Display bold, beautiful, fresh flowers on your night stand or vanity
- Your bedroom can quickly turn into a luxurious resort by simply adding multiple shades of blankets and a higher thread count will make your sheets feel amazing at night. Add a plush throw at the foot of the bed to make it feel more like a hotel.
- Place braided, colorful rugs or a shag carpeted rug on the floor by your bed to keep your feet from getting chilly and it will add color and texture to the room.
- Create a headboard to your bed to create an antique feel, modern feel or country bed and breakfast feel.
- Adding an old-fashioned closet door from Mexico, Italy or a an antique shop off Main street will create an exotic look to your room.
