Thanks to early screenings and aggressive treatments, women are surviving breast cancer more than ever before. But women must question why the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force now recommends that women don’t need to get regular mammograms before the age of 50, limit screenings to every other year and that self exams aren’t necessary.

As a woman, I have to wonder if this committee is made of men because how, in our years of incredible technology and ability to predict, prepare and save lives from this illness, would we limit that and put us in an immature, unrealistic place, leaving women susceptible to developing this disastrous disease.
