Who isn’t looking to avoid cancer these days? A crucial tactic for skipping out on cancer altogether is by applying an anti-cancer diet to your regime. The American Cancer Society recommends eating at least five servings of fruits and veggies a day and eating the right amount of food to keep a healthy weight.

According to EverydayHealth.com researchers have found that that particular foods help fend off cancer better than others:

  • Garlic- eat one clove per day
  • Berries- extremely high in antioxidants
  • Tomatoes- high in lycopene
  • Calciferous Veggies- i.e. cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower
  • Green Tea- contains the antioxidant catechins
  • Whole Grains- filled with fiber and antioxidants
  • Turmeric- an orange-colored Indian spice used in curry- has curcumin in it
  • Leafy Green Veggies- contain beta-carotene and lutein antioxidants
  • Grapes- particularly the skin is rich in resveratrol
  • Beans- especially pinto and kidney beans are high in fiber and antioxidants

So keep that body nice and healthy by sticking to these tips. Cancer should not be allowed to burrow in your body!
