Since 1998 men have been relieved to know there is some sort of “cure” for their erectile dysfunction, Viagra has helped thousands of men perform normally in bed. Although, not all men react best to Viagra or pills for that matter.
Health.com has provided seven ways to treat your ED:
- Pills- Viagra, Cialis or Levitra- 70% effective- relaxes muscles to allow an erection
- Injections- are parallel to taking a pill
- Suppositories- not as effective as injections- can take the spontaneity out of sex
- Pumps- increases blood flow to penis- available over the counter, inexpensive
- Constriction rings- does not help blood flow but helps the erection stay once there is one, it will slow down how fast the blood will leave the penis
- Implants- inflatable- inflated by a hydraulic pump or malleable implants- rods implanted into the penis can be manipulated manually
- Surgery- rarely performed- last resort- less than 1% of men with ED get surgery- equivalent of a coronary artery bypass
If you have trouble getting an erection it is imperitive that you consult your doctor. Sometimes there is a medical explanation for your ED.
Keep the spark in your bedroom by finding a doctor who can help you receive erectile dysfunction treatment.
