According to Karen Schuberg from CNS News, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated on Thursday that “there were not enough votes to pass the Senate-version of the bill in the House of Representatives.” Many things have led to the lack of public support for health-care reform, but Rep. Mike Pence says that the abortion language in the Senate bill is what really contributed to the bill failing; in the Senate health care bill tax dollars would go to health plans that cover abortion.
Schuberg reports that when Mike Pence was asked if abortion had anything to do with the bill being dead, he responded by saying, “Well, I do believe it did,” … “I want to give great credit to the pro-life Republicans and Democrats who took a stand in the House of Representatives on the traditional language that was encompassed first in the Hyde Amendment and then in the Stupak-Pitts Amendment – so, I think it paid a critical role.”
Do you agree with Mike Pence that abortion language in the Senate bill played a major role in the bill failing?

I do think abortion language contributed to its failure. Also the bill targeted the elderly and there would be choices
between an operation to live or comfort care and die. Dont listen to what they say watch what they do.
Vote out Sherrad Brown and all who supported this bill.
I think if the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA was still an industrial power with factories running 24/7 they would be able to afford health care.To take on such an endeavor in this day and age when the average American’s position is not on solid ground is irresponsible and lacking in love and charity.
