Current research has suggested that more fat can be burned first thing in the morning before eating anything. But other research says that if you wait till the late afternoon when your temperature and hormonal levels are at their highest, your workout will be more intense.

Consistency is a huge factor in exercising- people need to consider what kind of exercises they do and how often they do them. It can be a good idea to alternate days when you do cardio and weight training so your body has time to recuperate.

Dr. Arthur Agatston, leading preventive cardiologist and bestselling author of the South Beach Diet Supercharged, recommends: “Exercise when — and where — you will most enjoy it, which will make you most likely to remain faithful to your routine.”

Don’t let guilt creep in because you slept in 30 extra minutes yesterday and missed your workout. Chances are you needed that extra sleep. Same goes for not feeling bad for eating that greasy breakfast taco. You are human and that is okay. Just keep your eyes on the goal!
