What you think is just a little red bump or rash could be a lot more…but did you ever think that the little red bump could lead to chlamydia or gonorrhea?

- Bacterial vaginosis- most common vaginal infection, strong odor and discharge
- Chlamydia- symptoms are usually nonexistent- can be very dangerous
- Genital warts- caused by HPV, tiny cauliflower-like bumps
- Gonorrhea- not many symptoms for women- if there are it includes pain or burning when you pee
- Herpes- two types: oral- very common-like cold sores in and around the mouth 2) genital herpes- a rash
- Hepatitis B- easily prevented by vaccination
- HIV- difficult to detect- get checked yearly
- Pubic lice- aka crabs- parasites spread by bed linens or towels
- Syphilis- external warts on genitals or rectum
- Trichomoniasis-most curable STD
If you think you have any of these symptoms call your doctor and schedule an appointment immediately. A matter of just a few days can make a huge difference in the outcome of having an STD. And remember use protection!
