Health.com reports that Denmark found research to prove that any babies born after year 2000 will most likely hit age 100. The life expectancy went up 20 years from all of us oldies born before the millennium. We do have the chance to live to 100 too IF we make a change in our daily lives.

“What’s holiding us back are bad habits,” says Walter Bortz II, MD, a clinical associate professor of medicine at Stanford University.

St. Patrick’s luck and your family tree play a big role in how old you’ll live. But you can’t control that. What you can control is what you do in your daily life. Fill your fridge with fruits and veggies–which can add five years to your life. Breaking a sweat five days a week adds two to four years to your life. Find out what causes stress and put a halt to it–this will add up to six years on your life.

So get yourself in gear in 2010 and you’ll ring in the new year one day in triple digits.
