Holiday Greetings from the PriceDoc Team
We’ve had a few major changes to our platform over the last few weeks, which I’m sure you’ve noticed, and we hope you are as excited as we are.
Update:
First and foremost, the design to the site has changed completely. After hashing out the functionality, we handed the job over to Todd over at Rapparport Design, who did an amazing job! (Thanks Todd!)
Our Search Suggest technology has now been integrated into the new header allowing you to start typing a word and see the matches in our system. We’ve also introduced an auto locator to the search as well. Now, you can simply search for the procedure, without having to worry about location, we’ll do the rest for you! The entire process of reserving a price for a procedure (which is totally free) has been chopped in half – our goal is to make it as easy for you to lock in a doctors price as possible.
If you have poked around a little, you have probably noticed that not all doctors have included their prices. We introduced the concept of "Requesting a Cash Price" which will ask the doctor you are looking at for their price. This allows you to shop around and connect with multiple providers in your area. Don’t forget, getting a second opinion is always suggested!
Between the content and the new design, our blog, PriceDoc Talk, has exploded! Thank you to those who are contributing posts, ideas and comments. If you are not subscribed to our RSS feed, you can find that here.

Join our community as we march forward with this concept of price transparency and information. Stay updated by following us on Twitter, joining our Facebook Profile, Group and Page and of course, make sure you meet fellow price-conscious healthcare shoppers by logging into your PriceDoc profile and searching through the community.
We’ve also started sending questions to the providers in our network that you are asking. If you have a question that can only be answered by a doctor, submit them here. If you can’t find your family doctor on our network make sure you let us know!
Upcoming:
More changes to the design are in order… specifically for steps three and four of our site, where you see the Search Results and look at the Provider Profile. We also intend to tweak the community’s look and feel. In the blog, we will also add a StumbleUpon sharing button, so those who live over there can submit our posts.
