Just because you’ve had a few cups of coffee after a night of boozing doesn’t mean you are sober enough to get behind the wheel. Many people are under the impression that caffeine can lessen the effects of alcohol; however, a new study has discredited this idea. Jean Bidlack states that, “Alcohol and coffee are not a good mix.”

The results of this study are focused on younger people who consume caffeinated alcoholic drinks. These drinks can be very dangerous because the caffeine can lead people to drink more, and also lead them to believe they are not as drunk as they truly are.

The FDA is looking into the safety of caffeinated alcoholic drinks. If you have any further questions or concerns about the safety of mixing caffeine with alcohol, ask a doctor in your area.

Have you never had an irish coffee?
Coffee after booze just keeps you wide awake drunk.

Just never ever ever drink and drive.
