If laser eye surgery is something you’ve been thinking about, make sure you read closely!
Yes. There will fears before any major surgery, laser eye surgery included. But most of the risks are extraordinarily rare in occurrence. For some patients just hearing that something may go wrong will make them run the opposite direction.
“The most common fears I hear about have to do with the result of the surgery — what happens if I lose the sight of an eye, or what happens if I don’t get the result I want?” says Wayne F. As a personal eye-surgery success story, I couldn’t have had a better experience. Dr. Dell, (Michael Dell’s brother) was an excellent surgeon, he went over everything very carefully and I was extremely comfortable before going through with the surgery. The best part of the surgery is that it lasts no longer than 15 minutes. Afterwards I sat up and was able to clearly read the time on the clock, something I was never able to do before. I had to have contacts or glasses on to even read my bedside alarm clock. I had a 20/40 vision score now I have a 20/15 vision score. It was the best thing I ever did and I would definitely recommend LASIK to anyone.
So my vote is yes! Go for it, you’ll never regret it. Just remember to speak with your doctor beforehand about any concerns.
