We’ve all drank tea, but did you know that certain teas can heal the body, soul and/or mind in different ways? Most are blends of various ingredients including dried leaves, seeds, grasses, barks and flowers.

Here are 10 ingredients that you have probably heard of and why they are included in herbal teas:

- Chamomile- soothes, calms and helps as a sleeping aid
- Lemongrass- aids digestion
- Jasmine
- Peppermint- soothes IBS, nausea and digestion
- Echinacea- helps with the common cold, enhance immune system, relieve pain, reduce inflammation, antioxidant effects
- Rosehips- vitamin C, immune-strengthening
- Blackberry Leaves- high in antioxidants
- Hibiscus- natural diuretic
- Orange Peel- immune system-boosting
-Hawthorn- cardiovascular health, increases blood circulation, lessens stress on heart and relieves water retention by draining the body of excess salt

We grow Echinacea in our back yard garden. The flowers are easy to grow and I have been using them in my tea for years!
