A preliminary study has shown that texting can cause neck and shoulder pain.
Judith Gold, ScD presented evidence “suggesting that the more college students texted, the more pain they reported in their necks and shoulders.” Gold also reported that people age’s 18-21 favor texting over phone calls and email. With this conclusion, it is possible that young people are in danger of overuse injuries, similar to typing on a computer for several years.
