A few weeks ago I went to my dentist. His entire office is without an internet connection.

I was glad I had my blackberry because, quite normally (I thought), I needed to access the ‘net to fill in some of the information they required… When I asked why they didn’t take their business online the response was simple: security.

While they might be an extreme example at security, it turns out that many healthcare organizations are not on track to meet the security standards in line with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, according to a survey (HealthCareIT News reports).
